In Loving Memory of
Cecilia Pioquinto Lopez
Our beloved Cecilia Pioquinto Lopez, 81, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2026.
Cecilia was a loving woman who always spoke about God and His goodness to everyone she met. She never missed an opportunity to pray with someone in need or to remind them of the Lord’s faithfulness. Her faith was so big that she put her complete trust in God daily, walking confidently in His promises and encouraging others to trust Him fully.
Cecilia was born in 1944 in Deming, New Mexico. She was married to her husband, Cornelio J. Lopez, for 21 years. Together they built a home rooted in faith, love, and hard work as they raised their three sons.
She found great joy in caring for her family. She especially loved cooking for her grandchildren, pouring her love into every meal she prepared. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, comfort, and togetherness. Cecilia also had a generous heart and was always giving whether it was a home-cooked meal, a helping hand, words of encouragement, or prayer. If someone had a need, she responded with compassion and faith.
She is survived by her sons: Cornelio (Elsa) Lopez and their children Misael, Ezri, and Kyle; Noah (Corina) Lopez and their children Noah, Andrew, Jeremiah, and Sarah; and Jacob Lopez.
She is also survived by her sisters, Margie Pioquinto of Deming, NM, and Elisa P. Rudloff of Deming, NM. Cecilia was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whose lives she touched with her kindness and steadfast prayers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Pioquinto, and Refugia Pioquinto Aguilar; her siblings, Bernie P. Almanza, Francisco Pioquinto Jr., and Benny Pioquinto; her grandparents, Martin, and Marcelina Aguilar; and her in-laws, Manuel and Juanita Lopez.
Cecilia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, generosity, devotion to family, and unwavering faith in God will be remembered most. Her legacy of prayer, service, and trust in the Lord will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all whose lives she blessed.
